GLASGOW, Ky. (AP) – Officials have released the identity of a man found dead in an apartment fire in Glasgow.
Barren
County Coroner Mike Swift tells local media that 65-year-old Stephen A.
Gresham was found by firefighters Saturday morning.
The Glasgow Fire Department says the fire happened at the Stonehenge apartment complex.
Fire
chief Tony Atwood says firefighters found smoke coming from the front
of the apartment. He said a quick search was done and a victim was
located who was later determined to be deceased.
An autopsy on
Gresham was conducted Monday by the State Medical Examiner’s Office in
Louisville. Swift says preliminary autopsy results aren’t yet available.
Officials had said the cause of the fire was still being investigated, but wasn’t being treated as suspicious.
